At Cairn Ceramics, we understand the sensitive nature of handling cremated remains. We've designed our shipping process to ensure the safety and dignity your memorial deserves. The cart price includes the cost of your finished piece(s) and shipping from start to finish.

During checkout in the cart, you will select one of two remains handling methods detailed below:

Self Collection & Direct Shipping
Choose this option if you have direct access to the cremated remains and prefer to handle the collection yourself.

1. Collection Kit delivery – We'll send everything needed to safely gather a small portion of cremated remains directly to your address
2. Return the kit – Use the provided Priority Mail Express box and pre-paid label to send materials back to us (includes full tracking)
3. Finished memorial delivery – Your completed piece arrives at your door via Priority Mail with tracking and signature confirmation

Trusted Partner Handling
Choose this option if you're working with a funeral home, cremation provider, or death doula who will handle the collection process for you.

1. Collection Kit delivery – We send the kit directly to your chosen provider
2. Provider coordination – Your provider handles collection and returns materials to us using the pre-paid Priority Mail Express box (Note: Your provider may charge a handling fee – please check with them directly)
3. Flexible delivery – Your finished memorial can be sent to you or to your provider, whichever you prefer

Timeline

• Collection Kit arrival: 5-7 business days after order placement
• Return transit: 2 business days via Priority Mail Express
• Memorial creation/delivery: 4-6 weeks from receipt of collection kit.

International Shipping
At this time, we only ship within the United States due to regulatory requirements for transporting cremated remains.
